According to the recent news on the presidential website of Uzbekistan, President Mirziyoyev chaired a video conference to discuss the priority tasks of informatization development and digitization of public administration in Uzbekistan. In 2023, Uzbekistan made remarkable achievements in the field of information technology. The number of newly established IT companies exceeded 500 and attracted more than $475 million in foreign investment.

Speaking at the video conference, President Mirziyoyev noted that 2024 is a key year for accelerating the digitization process in Uzbekistan. He called for increasing the volume of IT services to 20 trillion soums and exports to $800 million, as well as the development of 130 information systems and full digitization in 750 state services. These goals reflect Uzbekistan's ambitions in the field of digitization and demonstrate the high importance the country attaches to information technology.

In order to achieve these goals, Uzbekistan has adopted a series of preferential policies. First, the government has waived the rent of office space for IT companies for one year in order to reduce the financial burden on businesses. Second, the government will provide computers and other equipment to outstanding programmers to support their innovative work. In addition, for companies with more than 50 IT employees, the government will provide a subsidy of 15% of the current year's salary to encourage expansion.
